Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has announced a significant operation targeting drug trafficking operations connected to Mexican cartels. The operation, named "Operation SLO Ride," has resulted in a major crackdown on illegal activities across several counties in California.

The operation, which began with a nine-month investigation, involved multiple agencies working together to combat the drug trafficking organizations. According to TNT-HIDTA, Tulare County was identified as a central hub for the transportation of illegal drugs coming from Mexico.

"Operation SLO Ride" has been successful in seizing a substantial amount of illegal substances and firearms. The joint efforts led to the arrest of numerous individuals involved in drug trafficking with ties to the Sinaloa Mexican Drug Cartel.

During the recent operation, a significant amount of illicit goods and weapons were confiscated. The Sheriff's Office reported, "During this morning’s operation, a total of 214 pounds of meth, 3.5 kilos of cocaine, 5 shotguns, 15 handguns, 7 rifles, one bullet-proof vest and $300,476 were seized."

In total, the operation has yielded remarkable results, with 85 arrests, substantial quantities of drugs, a large number of firearms, and a significant sum of cash being confiscated. The collaboration between law enforcement agencies has proven effective in dismantling drug trafficking operations in various locations.

The successful takedown of these drug trafficking operations underscores the ongoing efforts to combat illicit activities tied to Mexican cartels. The authorities remain vigilant in their pursuit of justice and the disruption of criminal networks involved in such illegal enterprises.
